A Prayer for Catechists
O God, our Heavenly Father, you have given us the gift of these catechists to be heralds of the Gospel to our parish family.
We lift them up to you in thanksgiving and intercede for them concerning their hopes and needs. May we be attentive to the presence of your Word in them, a Word that lifts up and affirms, calls forth and challenges, is compassionate and consoles. We pray that our parish family will always be blessed with those who have responded to the call to share in Christ’s prophetic mission as catechists. May we too be open to the universal call to service that Christ addresses to all of his disciples, contributing our gifts to the communion of faith, the Church. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen

All Parish Prayer Line
Holy Family and Our Lady of Lourdes are beginning an all-parish prayer line. Through a chain of phone calls, one family will contact the next family until everyone has been notified. Each family will then pray for the special need sometime before the end of the day. What will the need be? It could be sickness, car accident, death bed, and etc. These are all serous needs. What do we pray? A Rosary, if possible, is the first request because of the seriousness. You may include this intention in your family Rosary that night. To be a part of this wonderful chain, please sign up in the back of your church. If you have any questions, please contact for Holy Family, Mary Jane Vodicka at 303-732-9355 or for Our Lady of Lourdes, Inez Baltazar at 970-483-6535.

Memorial Donations to the cemetery that are equal to or in excess of one thousand dollars have the opportunity of engraving the loved one’s name on the base of the statue of the Sacred Heart. The committee has made this decision based on the cost of additional engraving. Engraving will be done when there are several names to be added. All donations to the cemetery are recorded in a book of donations.

Respect Life-Words of Life …...Divorce and abortion are, of course, different choices, at times made in difficult and dramatic circumstances. They often give rise to traumas and are a source of profound suffering for the people who make them. ... They leave wounds that mark life indelibly. The Church has the primary duty to approach [such] people with love and delicacy, with kindness and maternal concern, in order to announce the merciful closeness of God and Jesus Christ. ... Yes, the gospel of love and of life is also always the gospel of mercy.

Priests of the Archdiocese of Denver make a radical choice to follow Jesus' call to be His servant-leaders. Their lives of joyful sacrifice bring to the people of northern Colorado the message of Jesus Christ that: I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live! (John 11:25). A priest is empowered by Christ to overcome death, sin, and despair with the message of life, forgiveness, and hope that is the core of the Gospel
